Church square St. Afra, Rimpar
A concert in the square provided the festive overtones on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly designed church square at St. Afra in the Rimpar district of Maidbronn near Würzburg. The church, which was once built as a monastery church, now has a stage-like outdoor platform for such purposes. The conversion has mainly created space, including the demolition of the old fire station. In addition, the blacktop was removed and the supply lines renewed. The new appearance is characterized by the additional space and the lively, warm play of colours of shell limestone, the traditional building stone in Franconia.
