A success story spanning generations

The history of GODELMANN is a success story spanning three generations. A clear strategic focus, well thought-out investments and a passion for concrete as a material have enabled us to successfully expand our market position. By constantly optimizing productivity and investing in new processes and possibilities, GODELMANN is able to offer its customers high-quality solutions, well-coordinated programs and uncomplicated and reliable service.

We look back on over 75 years of GODELMANN.

Foundation

Karl Godelmann founds the GODELMANN company in Hiltersdorf in 1947. With five employees, the company produces prefabricated ceilings, masonry and concrete roof tiles and concrete plain tiles. After joining the company in the late 1960s, Bernhard Godelmann senior focuses on the production of paving stones. The first "Behaton" stone is produced.

Karl Godelmann founded the company in 1947.

Expansion

In 1980, Bernhard Godelmann senior sets the course for the current headquarters in Fensterbach. A crushing plant is built to crush unsaleable concrete products. With large water collection basins and an intelligent drainage system, rainwater is collected on the company premises and used in production.

Full-range supplier

Bernhard Godelmann junior joins the company and expands production to include slabs, bricks and special concrete elements. The opening of the concrete manufactory rounds off the product range for high-quality gardening and landscaping. Since then, the wide range has been supplemented by special components and individual pieces made of concrete.

Growth

The first sales office opens in Maitenbeth at the beginning of the 2000s. This is followed by the expansion of our presence in Baden-Württemberg and a small location near Prague. In 2018, we open Germany's first flagship store for concrete blocks in the BIKINI building in Berlin. Another production site follows in Wonfurt. The GODELMANN Group continues to grow: with the integration of POETSCH in Heinsberg and Gravelli in Prague.
