We spend most of our lives indoors. When the weather is fine, we want to enjoy the fresh air outdoors. But what if you live in a big city? In that case, a roof terrace can offer you that much-sought-after outdoor space where you can relax or entertain guests when the weather is fine.

Make space for your favourite activities. A roof terrace isn’t just a striking feature; above all, it’s a place designed to bring you joy. Beautiful concrete slabs lead elegantly through your feel-good zone, whilst Corten-coloured raised beds and lush greenery create the perfect atmosphere. Those who enjoy gardening will find raised beds to be an exciting and low-maintenance alternative to a more labour-intensive roof garden. Those who prefer to relax amongst the greenery can use large, weather-resistant planters to create the perfect setting for a private oasis above the city rooftops.
New building designs, such as flat roofs, open up ‘new spaces’ for use. A wide range of formats, including large slabs, are available for a variety of applications, whether for private or publicly used roof terraces. Thin slabs (D ≥ 3.0 cm) offer low surface loads in terms of the structure’s load-bearing capacity. In certain areas, thicker slabs of the same size may also be selected if required due to wind suction. The thickness requirement may vary depending on the height of the structure.

A small pool on the roof terrace becomes an exclusive retreat high above the city. Refresh yourself in the lovely water whilst enjoying a spectacular view – the roof pool makes it possible. Combined with designer concrete tiles in finely coordinated shades and a pleasant texture in a herringbone pattern, it transforms the roof terrace into a stylish wellness oasis far removed from the urban jungle.
Every type of flooring lends a roof terrace its own character. Elongated slabs create clean lines and make the space appear more spacious. XXL slabs, on the other hand, create a modern, serene look with few joints and a clear structure. Those who appreciate warmth and naturalness should choose planks with a wood-effect finish. Classic square formats offer timeless design and great flexibility, meaning they can adapt to almost any style. In this way, the flooring sets the tone and transforms every roof terrace into a unique oasis of well-being.
