Gaulbad, Aalen

The city of Aalen has remodelled the area around the town hall. In the past, the area was almost completely sealed and was mainly used as a car park. Today, a natural space with green areas, seating and a children's playground has been created. In addition, the urban stream has been uncovered and renaturalised. Overall, the area is now unsealed and climate-adapted.

In order to completely unseal the area, GDM.KLIMASTEIN was used on the paved paths. Its innovative, three-layer structure and proActive functions ensure that precipitation can seep away, be stored and then evaporate again. This reduces the risk of flooding and has a positive impact on the urban climate at the same time.
